Erich Segal

Although I've only read two of his books, I was impressed by the second I read, and absolutely capitvated by the first. Unfortunately, I could find almost nothing about him on the WWW, so I had to write this myself...

The second first; Man, Woman, and Child, published in 1980 by Harper and Row. A story of the perfect marriage and family, shaken by the sudden discovery of an illegitimate child from a forgotten past... The struggle to save a badly wounded relationship, and the strength of blood ties...

The Best: Love Story, published 1970 by Harper and Row. The first real love story I ever read, at twelve years of age. It didn't make sense then, and now I wish it didn't. Short, but can release powerful feelings if you let it. Best read as a couple (otherwise possibly fatally depressing). "What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl that died?..."
